Technical Program Manager (Data & AI)
Location: 19015 N Creek Pkwy S, Suite 300, Bothell, WA 98011 (Highly Preferred) Remote Role Azure Data Lake Services and Azure Fabric are mandatory skills needed in this role
Role Summary
We are seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to serve as a strategic delivery leader within our Data & AI organization. This is not a traditional project management role the TPM owns the what, why, and how of complex, cross-functional programs, bridging business strategy with the engineering required to build and scale modern data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate enterprise strategy into prioritized engineering backlogs and actionable roadmaps
- Define functional requirements across the full data lifecycle (ingestion, transformation, analytics)
- Write and review Technical Solution Designs (TSDs) and functional specifications
- Manage cross-team dependencies and resolve technical blockers across Infrastructure, Security, and BI teams
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure spend with a FinOps mindset (e.g., Microsoft Fabric capacity)
- Communicate program health, risks, and ROI clearly to both executive leadership and engineering teams
- Drive data product adoption through documentation, training, and end-user feedback loops
- Champion architectural integrity and advocate for technical debt reduction
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or equivalent field
- Background in Software or Data Engineering (strongly preferred)
- Deep knowledge of modern data stacks ETL/ELT, Cloud Data Warehousing, API design, Data Modeling
- Proficiency with Microsoft Azure & Fabric ecosystem
- Expertise in Agile / Scaled Agile delivery frameworks
- Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to both C-suite and engineering audiences
- Proven track record managing programs through ambiguity and high-stakes system environments
- Ability to collaborate effectively across global, distributed teams
