Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in program management.
- 7 years of experience in leadership roles with/without direct reports.
- Ability to be on site 5 days a week.
Preferred qualifications:
- 10 years of experience managing cross-functional/team projects.
- 10 years of work experience with data center equipment/environments, including electrical switchgear, generators, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, controls, security monitoring systems and fire safety systems, with an understanding of start up/commissioning processes.
- Experience managing vendor relationships and understanding of standard practices in the design and construction industry, including knowledge of fast track design build processes and associated documents and contracts.
- Experience in requirements gathering, resource organization, task prioritization, scheduling and achieving objectives within set goals.
- Knowledge of large-scale facility electrical and mechanical systems.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. As a highly motivated Program Manager, you have demonstrated experience with data center design, development, construction and commissioning projects. You will provide management of large-scale data centers, computer farms, networking, AC and DC power distribution/conversion, and cooling methods at multiple scales. You will be tasked with juggling and coordinating the desires and needs of multiple partner teams, while managing changes and maintaining a focus on keeping the project on schedule and budget.
You will have experience managing large-scale technical projects in a rapidly changing industry, ability to thrive in ambiguity and demonstrated problem-solving leadership with limited oversight. You should be able to conceptualize and describe the delivery of a data center facility from start to commissioning and understand the nuances and risks that you and your team will need to manage.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.US: $240000 - $333000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
- Manage data center projects from inception through to completion.
- Support special research and development experiments, renovations, and upgrades of existing facility.
- Be responsible for gathering internal requirements and delivering solutions that satisfy customer needs.
- Maintain end-to-end responsibility from construction to deployment.
- Resolve highly critical issues within the matrix organization while maintaining rigorous adherence to project timelines and costs.
