About the job
A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
The Compliance, Safety, and Risk Management (CSRM) team is dedicated to operating a safe, secure, and resilient technical infrastructure through a comprehensive EHS program grounded in integrity, partnership, and care.
The Design for Safety role provides strategic leadership and EHS direction to ensure data center products and facility designs prioritize safety across their entire lifecycle from initial design and construction to operation and eventual decommissioning. By driving proactive, upstream safety integration, this role effectively mitigates downstream risks to employees, partners, and the environment.
In this role, you will continuously refine Design for Safety standards and processes while actively identifying program risks and opportunities. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across engineering, construction, project management, operations, EHS, and external partners to establish work plans and execute agreed-upon objectives. Ultimately, this role ensures our most innovative technical infrastructure solutions are built from the ground up with safety, resilience, and sustainability at their core.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
