About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

At Google, we have been pushing the boundaries of data center efficiency and reliability, fueled by the unwavering commitment to making information universally accessible and useful. Google Data Centers (GDC) power the world's most innovative cloud services. The end-to-end Quality team ensures the flawless, reliable operation of this critical infrastructure.

Drive continuous quality improvement and performance within Google's electrical infrastructure supply chain.

In this role, you will collaborate across engineering, supply chain, operations, and manufacturing teams to analyze performance, optimize supplier processes, and deliver robust, high-quality equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with electrical power distribution equipment suppliers, ensuring proactive quality management throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Lead in-depth power distribution failure investigations, identifying true root causes and implementing systemic corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Analyze production metrics, test results, quality audits, and field performance data to establish statistical links and drive proactive quality improvements.
  • Validate supplier build and test processes against Google requirements and relevant industry standards (e.g., PPAP) to ensure compliance and product lifecycle integrity.
  • Conduct supplier audits and inspections, identifying areas for improvement in variability reduction, predictability, lead time optimization, and output quality enhancement.
  • Partner with suppliers and internal SMEs to resolve complex product quality and process issues across the full product lifecycle. Program manage quality improvement projects involving both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery and measurable results.
