The individual will be responsible for managing and continuously improving the Software Engineering Guild’s onboarding programs, documentation ecosystem, knowledge repositories, and community resources, ensuring consistency, scalability, and exceptional employee experience. Working closely with Engineering leaders, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and other cross-functional stakeholders, this role will drive governance, content strategy, business continuity planning, and process optimization initiatives that support a large, distributed engineering organization. Success in this position requires strong program management, organizational, communication, and content management skills, along with the ability to understand technical concepts and engage effectively with engineering teams, while maintaining a strong focus on operational execution, stakeholder coordination, and continuous improvement through automation and data-driven practices. Key responsibilities •Own and continuously enhance the Software Engineering (SE) Guild onboarding experience for Software Engineers at all career stages, including interns, early-career engineers, experienced hires, and Software Engineering Managers, ensuring programs remain relevant, scalable, and impactful. •Partner closely with Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and Engineering leadership to align onboarding experiences with enterprise-wide programs while addressing the unique needs of the Software Engineering community. •Establish and govern the SE Guild knowledge ecosystem, including documentation, onboarding materials, knowledge repositories, standards, and shared resources, ensuring content accuracy, accessibility, and long-term sustainability. •Lead strategic community infrastructure initiatives, including SharePoint enhancements, information architecture design, content governance, and digital experience improvements to increase usability, discoverability, and engagement. •Develop, maintain, and operationalize business continuity plans, documentation frameworks, and readiness processes that ensure the resilience, continuity, and scalability of SE Guild programs and resources. •Create, curate, and maintain learning content, tools, and engagement opportunities that support engineers in developing technical and professional capabilities, building meaningful connections, contributing to the engineering community, and advancing their careers. •Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing feedback, identifying opportunities to enhance processes, and implementing solutions that improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and overall experience of SE Guild programs. •Automate repeatable operational processes using available technologies, tools, and existing platforms to improve reliability, scalability, operational efficiency, and turnaround times. •Monitor program performance through defined metrics, stakeholder feedback, and engagement trends, providing insights and recommendations to improve participation, adoption, and outcomes. •Build strong partnerships across Engineering, Human Resources, Learning & Development, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment, effective communication, and successful program delivery. All about you •Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Communications, Learning & Development, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. •Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders across global teams and create high-quality documentation, presentations, and communications. •+10 years of experience leading complex programs, organizational enablement initiatives, knowledge management functions, community platforms, or cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and workstreams. •Proven experience defining, implementing, and evolving governance models, operational processes, documentation standards, and scalable operating mechanisms that drive consistency, efficiency, and long-term sustainability. •Strong experience designing and managing information architectures, knowledge repositories, onboarding programs, documentation ecosystems, and content management frameworks that improve accessibility, usability, and discoverability. •Demonstrated expertise in technical writing, content curation, and knowledge management, including the creation, maintenance, and governance of onboarding materials, standards, playbooks, and shared resources. •Solid understanding of software engineering principles, development lifecycles, and technology organizations, with the ability to engage credibly with Senior, Principal, and Engineering Management stakeholders. •Experience supporting large, distributed, and global communities through operational excellence, process management, and stakeholder coordination. •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset. •Demonstrated experience leveraging AI, automation, and data tools to improve operational effectiveness, streamline workflows, and enhance user experiences. Experience with tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, Power Query, or similar technologies is highly desirable. •Advanced proficiency with collaboration and productivity tools, including SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft 365 applications. •Excellent organizational, project management, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. •Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach. •Self-motivated professional with the ability to work independently, influence without authority, and progressively assume greater leadership and ownership of strategic initiatives. Nice to have •Prior experience as a Software Engineer, Technical Writer, or Information Architect. •Experience working with developer-centric tools and documentation workflows, including source control systems (e.g., Bitbucket, GitHub), structured documentation formats (e.g., Markdown, XML), wiki platforms, or documentation-as-code practices. •Experience experimenting with or applying AI tools beyond Copilot (e.g., configuring agents, using AI-assisted workflows, or integrating AI tools into enablement or operational processes).
