Primary role:
Odessa’s Platform Engineering team is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead complex, cross-functional technology programs that support platform scalability, delivery excellence, and customer impact. This role will partner closely with product, engineering, architecture, operations, and business stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into actionable program plans and drive successful execution.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical judgment, structured program governance, stakeholder influence, and the ability to improve delivery practices across teams. This is an opportunity to play a key role in advancing Odessa’s platform roadmap and enabling high-quality outcomes for enterprise clients.
What you'll do:
You will lead end-to-end delivery of high-impact platform programs — taking complex, cross-functional initiatives from early definition through production, with direct ownership and accountability for outcomes. This is a hands-on role that requires equal comfort driving strategy in ambiguous environments and executing with precision in fast-moving ones.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Odessa’s platform programs — driving successful delivery against defined business and technical objectives, with accountability for execution, coordination, and program outcomes.
- Operate across teams and architectures, owning the gaps between teams, processes, and systems—defining program structure, anticipating bottlenecks, managing critical dependencies, and aligning organizations before friction becomes a delivery risk.
- Apply strong technical judgment to understand complex technical designs, surface trade-offs, and facilitate alignment across engineering teams.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks across the full delivery pipeline — and enforce a rigorous definition of done that goes beyond code complete to include operational readiness, data integrity, and measurable customer adoption
- Continuously improving delivery processes by identifying recurring friction points and implementing scalable solutions that improve predictability and execution efficiency.
- Communicate program progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership, driving decision-making, alignment, and consensus on complex technical and business priorities.
- Drive capacity planning and forecasting in partnership with engineering leaders, ensuring investments align to strategic priorities and delivery commitments.
- Contribute to the growth of Odessa's TPM community by sharing best practices, improving program management artifacts, and helping elevate execution standards across teams.
Core qualifications:
- 8–12 years of overall experience, with at least 4–6 years in program or technical program management, engineering leadership — demonstrating clear progression in scope, complexity, and cross-functional ownership
- Deep understanding of Agile practices and software development processes — experienced working across multiple scrum teams, with a track record of real dependency and integration management across complex, cross-functional programs
- Technical fluency to engage credibly in engineering discussions, understand system architectures and design principles, and evaluate the technical trade-offs that shape platform decisions.
- Experience in banking, financial services, or enterprise software preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication — able to synthesize technical complexity into clear, concise updates for a wide range of audiences
- Analytical and data-driven approach to problem solving, with the ability to leverage data, investigate discrepancies, and build reporting mechanisms that provide meaningful program visibility and decision support.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience using project and knowledge management tools such as JIRA and Confluence to drive program execution and documentation.
- Experience delivering programs in a platform or product development environment
- Domain experience in lending, leasing, or asset finance
- Experience contributing to program management best practices through the development of standards, playbooks, operating mechanisms, or success metrics in a dynamic and evolving environment
