Job Title: Technical Support Representative Location: Dublin 15 Salary: DOE Osborne are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established and successful supplier to the construction industry, for an experienced Technical Support Specialist to join their team. Our client has a long-standing presence within the Irish construction sector and works with customers and contractors nationwide. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a technically minded professional to provide support to the Technical Sales team and assist with the preparation of technical solutions, calculations, drawings and project documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong construction background and experience in AutoCAD and Revit who is looking to develop their career within a technical and commercially focused environment. The Role The Technical Support Specialist will provide technical and design support to the wider Technical Sales function, assisting with the development of roofing and building solutions and ensuring customers and projects receive accurate technical information. The role will involve a combination of CAD work, technical calculations, construction detailing, specification writing and general technical support. Key Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day technical support to the Technical Sales team. Prepare thermal insulation calculations and assist with building performance requirements. Design tapered roofing schemes in line with project requirements. Complete rainwater calculations for roofing and drainage applications. Carry out wind load calculations and provide technical recommendations. Produce detailed construction drawings using AutoCAD and Revit. Prepare construction and technical details for use across projects. Assist with the preparation and management of technical documentation. Develop project specifications incorporating appropriate product build-ups, performance requirements and installation requirements. Review project requirements and provide appropriate technical solutions. Assist the Technical Sales team with customer and project queries. Maintain accurate technical records and documentation. Work closely with internal teams to ensure technical information is accurate, up to date and delivered within required timeframes. Support the development and improvement of technical processes and documentation. Essential Requirements: Minimum of 3 years' experience within the construction industry. Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D. Experience using Revit. Good understanding of construction methods, materials and technical drawings. Strong proficiency across Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret technical information and translate it into practical solutions. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and commercial teams. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Desirable Experience: Experience within roofing, insulation, building envelope or construction materials. Experience preparing technical specifications and construction details. Knowledge of thermal performance, rainwater management or wind loading calculations. Experience working with contractors, architects, engineers or other construction professionals. Relevant qualification in Construction, Architectural Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
