Role Title: Tactical UAS Test & Evaluation Manager
Role Description:
• UASPO requires the support of a qualified Test & Evaluation subject matter expert to support acquisition of Tactical Uncrewed Aircraft Systems.
Key responsibilities:
• development and/or review of test plans, procedures and reports
• assessment of technical and design packages to support Verification and Validation, certification and other programs within the projects
• technical risk assessments and support to system safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance to relevant standards and requirements
• design and integration tasks including requirements development, verification activities and report writing
• planning, preparation, execution and analysis of all T&E events, including Preview, Acceptance and Operational T&E
• T&E SME input into the testability of Operational Concept Document Needs
• provision of technical support to other UASPO projects
• Mentoring of junior T&E practitioners.
Essential Requirements:
• Formal qualification or recognised training in Test & Evaluation
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing complex Test & Evaluation programs within Defence, government or industry environments.
• Tertiary qualification in either Engineering or equivalent extensive industry experience.
• Demonstrated experience conducting technical risk assessments and supporting system safety programs.
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to engage and influence diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in complex environments.
• Ability to simplify complex technical information and communicate findings clearly to a range of audiences.
Desirable Requirements:
• Experience in Australian Defence Force Acceptance and/or Operational Test and Evaluation
• Certificate IV (or higher) in Test & Evaluation
• Knowledge of applicable Defence T&E, systems engineering and capability assurance frameworks.
• Experience supporting air, land, maritime, cyber, space or integrated capability programs.
• Experience with modelling and simulation, digital engineering and systems integration activities.
• Professional registration or accreditation relevant to Engineering, Systems Engineering or T&E disciplines

Location: Brisbane
Hours: 80hr per fortnight, as agreed with client.
