Boeing Global Services (BGS) Supply Chain Engineering is currently looking for a Tool Engineer (Associate and Experienced) to join their team in Seal Beach, CA. This person will have the opportunity to work on multiple Boeing and heritage McDonnell Douglas Commercial Airplane models by providing tooling support for spare parts procurement. The individual will partner with Senior Tool Engineers to develop our tooling strategy to optimize how we store, disposition, and manage Out-of-Production Tooling. In this role, you will collaborate with multiple other engineering workstreams, with third-party logistics warehouse suppliers, and with our international business partners. A typical day-in-the-life could include assisting suppliers with tooling related fabrication questions, processing quote backup sheets for tooling, analyzing tools to make scrap/retain decisions, assessing tool quotes for fair and reasonable costs, and/or managing tool data in the PLM. The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate across multiple functions and prefer working in a fast-paced environment. This individual must be well organized, adaptable and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Seal Beach, CA facility.
