Job Title: Trainee: Statistical Programming
Job Location : Trivandrum, India
Job Overview:
The Trainee will work closely with Biostatisticians, Statistical Programmers, and clinical SAS Programmers to assist with data analysis, reporting, and documentation while gaining hands on experience in the services provided by the Biometrics group.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Upon completion of the training, the typical responsibilities and opportunities include, but are not limited to:
• Collaborate with mentors to gather knowledge in the various programming activities undertaken by the Biometrics team.
• Program simple, medium, and complex data checks and data reconciliation reports.
• Create special reports and listings as requested from the Data Management and other cross functional departments.
• Merge external data with EDC data and check for consistency.
• Import and export data across various file formats, including SAS datasets (.sas7bdat), Excel files (.xlsx, .xls), CSV (delimited) files etc. to support data processing and review.
• Support generation of dataset specifications.
• Development of mapping specifications for integrated datasets.
• Development and documentation of programs used to generate datasets.
• Development and documentation of programs used to generate listings, tables, and figures.
• Program validation including generation of validation documentation.
• Data preparation and documentation according to CDISC data standards.
• Cross functional interaction with other members of the project team.
• Ensure adherence to Company SOPs.

Job Requirements:
• Education
o Bachelor’s in technology/Master’s degree or equivalent in mathematics, statistics, information technology, or life sciences.
• Experience
o Trainee level position, no prior industry experience required.
• Skills/Competencies
o Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
o Attention to detail and data quality.
o Fluency in English.
o Working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.
o Working knowledge of the SAS programming language.
o Working knowledge of the R programming language is an added advantage.
