Training Developer
Location: Edison, NJ Work Setup: Hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days remote) Contract Length: 6 months
Overview
We are seeking a talented Training Developer to join our team and create engaging, effective learning solutions that drive performance improvement. The ideal Training Developer will partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts to design high-quality training programs and learning materials that support business objectives and adult learners.
Training Developer Responsibilities
- Conduct needs analyses to identify performance gaps, assess client requirements, and recommend effective learning solutions.
- Design and develop instructor-led training, eLearning modules, facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, and performance support tools.
- Apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to create engaging learning experiences.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate complex concepts into clear, practical, and learner-focused content.
- Develop training solutions that align with organizational goals and support measurable performance outcomes.
- Ensure all learning materials are accurate, user-friendly, and aligned with best practices in training and development.
Training Developer Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing training programs for adult learners.
- Proficiency with common eLearning authoring tools, visual design applications, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Strong ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- Experience creating instructional materials, digital learning content, and performance support resources.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to quickly absorb complex information and transform it into clear learning objectives and training content.
- Experience designing scenario-based learning and authentic learning experiences.
- Excellent listening, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams and stakeholders.
