Tspv – Software Developer Computer Vision & Machine Learning Canberra

Location: Canberra, ACT
Contract Duration: Initial 12‑month contract, with 2 × 12‑month extension options
Security Clearance: Candidates are required to have a TSPV clearance to perform this role.
Eligibility: This position is open to Australian citizens with a valid security clearance due to role requirements. We are committed to a non-discriminatory hiring process but unfortunately cannot provide visa sponsorship for overseas applicants.
Essential Tasks
- Develop software across a range of languages and development environments to support CV and ML outcomes
- Work with data scientists to build software, integrate models and analytics, and contribute to CV model development
- Document processes, communicate solutions clearly, and support continuous improvement of software engineering practices
- Engage with subject‑matter experts and stakeholders to refine solutions and support effective deployment outcomes
Key Criteria
- Strong software development experience with the ability to design, code, test, document, and improve complex programs
- Experience working within integrated technical and non-technical teams in secure or mission-focused environments
- Exposure to computer vision, machine learning integration, or analytics-focused software development
- Robust communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a small, high-performing team
