Your future role

We have an exciting opportunity available for an Validation Engineer to join our team at our Repair and Overhaul Center (ROC), based at Rouse Hill.  You’ll play a key role in delivering the industrial quality and compliance of EVC rack rework on a critical transportation project. From start to finish, you’ll take ownership of each stage of the process—ensuring full traceability, meeting technical requirements, and driving high standards every step of the way. In this role, you’ll use your strong analytical skills and sharp attention to detail to assess performance, identify deviations, and make confident, independent decisions. You’ll work closely with technicians and leadership, collaborating to resolve issues and ensure safe, reliable outcomes. This role will initially be for a 7 month fixed-term contract, but with the potential to extend and become permanent.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Leading the test, verification, and delivery of the EVC rack under delegation from the PrCOM

  • Planning and coordinating all T&C activities, including scheduling, site access, resource allocation, and documentation

  • Applying deep expertise independently to ensure compliance with company standards and customer requirements for EVC rack rework

  • Developing and refining T&C procedures aligned with subsystem specifications and contractual obligations

  • Collaborating with Engineering and project leaders to optimise site testing and effectively share resources across platform and site activities

  • Providing technical leadership on tools, procedures, and complex problem-solving across teams and individuals

  • Leading or contributing to technical discussions with customers, representing and protecting the company’s interests

  • Reporting regularly to the Project Manager on progress, risks, and key issues

  • Identifying, documenting, and escalating testing anomalies, and working closely with Engineering to drive resolution

  • Capturing and logging all design-related issues in the appropriate systems, ensuring clear defect descriptions and test context

  • Supporting and developing the capability of other T&C team members proactively

  • Ensuring all testing activities are carried out safely and in full compliance with safety standards
