About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Assistant Controller to join their team. The successful candidate will have a broad range of responsibilities, including supporting U.S. P&C operations and related entities, leading strategic initiatives, and strengthening the financial infrastructure. This role also involves providing support on transactions, M&A activity, efficiency projects, and regional initiatives, as well as acting as a deputy to the Controller when necessary.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 12 years' experience in insurance or reinsurance accounting, with a CPA or MBA qualification. A strong preference is given to those with a Big 4 background. Deep knowledge of STAT, GAAP, and international reporting standards is essential, as is experience in investment portfolio accounting, external audits, regulatory exams, and process improvement/systems implementations. The role requires a leader with strong communication skills, financial analysis capability, and the ability to provide subsidiary oversight. This is a great opportunity for an experienced insurance accounting leader to take on a visible number two controllership role with strategic exposure and succession runway.
