ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Web Developer to join our team in Chantilly, VA.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in developing, testing, and deploying web solutions tailored to government requirements.
This position requires a strong background in information technology, with a focus on web development, content management, and user interface design.
The Web Developer will work closely with government stakeholders and internal teams to design and implement web pages, portals, and knowledge repositories that are secure, accessible, and aligned with government policies.
The role demands excellent communication skills, the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies, and a customer‑centric approach to problem‑solving.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
A Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, complemented by at least 9 years of relevant experience.
Equivalent professional experience can be considered in lieu of formal education.
Proven expertise in client‑side web development utilizing JavaScript frameworks and libraries, such as jQuery, AJAX, and Bootstrap, is essential.
Experience with SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, and developing workflows and web parts is highly desirable.
Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of security policies, governance standards, and web content management best practices.
Familiarity with modern web frameworks like AngularJS, React, or .NET MVC, as well as scripting with PowerShell, will be considered advantageous.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Web Developer will be responsible for a range of tasks including the administration and design of government web pages and knowledge repositories across multiple classified and unclassified domains.
This includes managing site permissions, user groups, attributes, and content pages to ensure compliance with security and governance policies.
The role involves developing and implementing content management workflows, overseeing task management, review, approval processes, and posting activities to maintain content accuracy and relevance.
Conducting quality assurance checks on posted content is critical to uphold standards and ensure user satisfaction.
The developer will participate in website and portal design projects aimed at maximizing discoverability, readership, and user access.
This involves researching and integrating modern web technologies to create innovative, user‑friendly interfaces that enhance workflow efficiency.
Creating visual concepts using JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, and Bootstrap is essential to deliver engaging and responsive designs.
The role also includes consulting with clients to define strategic enhancements, expanding website content scope, and implementing technical features aligned with client needs.
Additionally, the developer will gather raw data from various sources, develop comprehensive visualizations, and deliver easily understandable content to stakeholders.
