Contract: March 2026 – February 2028 -2 years contract with potential of extension

Compensation : $30.00- $45.00 per hour (depending on skills and experience)

Stafingo is hiring on behalf of a confidential public sector client in Ontario for an Intermediate Web Developer to support a digital modernization initiative focused on accessible, user-friendly PDF form development.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a meaningful public service program delivering occupational health services across Canada.

About the Role

Our client is modernizing a suite of occupational health service forms into fully accessible, bilingual (English/French), digitally fillable PDFs that meet federal web and accessibility standards.

The selected consultant will work remotely and collaborate regularly via MS Teams with project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and assess draft MS Word forms and recommend formatting improvements to ensure WCAG 2.1 compliance
  • Develop accessible, user-friendly PDF forms with advanced fillable functionality including:
    • Dropdown fields
    • Radio buttons
    • Free text fields
    • Date selectors
    • Digital signatures
  • Conduct accessibility validation and provide compliance gap analysis
  • Provide final source files (Word and PDF) for long-term sustainability
  • Participate in weekly status meetings and provide progress reporting

Mandatory Experience

  • 5–10 years of professional Web Development experience within the last 10 years
  • Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience developing fillable, accessible PDF forms
  • Demonstrated experience:
    • Creating PDF forms from Word documents
    • Implementing dropdowns, radio buttons, free text, date selection, and digital signatures
    • Testing cross-compatibility across PDF applications
    • Preparing written handover or maintenance documentation
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1)
    • Cross-platform compatibility requirements
