Job Overview

To be based in Parramatta, we are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with at least 3 years of experience and a minimum Bachelor qualification to join the business on a full-time basis as a Software Developer. Salary of $77,000 + super on offer for a candidate who is talented and competent across the skills and characteristics we seek.

Responsibilities

• Writing program code, back‑end code and building efficient PHP modules to meet system requirements and ensure they perform as per the specifications.
• Developing new enhanced system functionality, collaborating with team members and operational groups to identify and prioritise required work.
• Testing, troubleshooting, and debugging programs and web application issues and applying solutions to ensure performance to specifications.
• Website design using HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, and Foundation frameworks.
• Performing after‑deployment activities including bug fixing, maintenance, releasing updated versions, backup support, testing of new functionalities, writing reports, and generating feedback documentation.
• Converting wireframes and design files into web versions.
• Completing responsive design, cross‑browser compatibility development and testing.
• Working with jQuery, vanilla JavaScript and AJAX.
• Performing analysis of website and e‑commerce application requirements, and developing front‑end design.
• Plugin and template development, finalising back‑end features and testing web applications.
• Developing scripts, Webpack, and documenting module processes.
• Documenting technical specifications using proper business standards for business users.

Skills & Characteristics

• At least 3 years of experience in a highly relevant position.
• Relevant Bachelor’s qualification in IT.
• Competency across the above tasks and duties.
• High competency in WordPress, WooCommerce, Adobe design software and Figma.
• High competency with scripting languages such as PHP, SCSS, AJAX, jQuery and Node.js.
• Strong understanding of MySQL and CSS pre‑compilers.
• Professional at all times.
• Outstanding ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet established deadlines.

Job Type: Full‑time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
