Job Description:
As a Web3 Engineer, you will design, develop, and support blockchain-based platforms focused on digital assets, tokenization, smart contracts, wallet integrations, and transaction orchestration. You will build secure, scalable, and production-ready Web3 infrastructure across public, private, and permissioned blockchain networks while supporting enterprise-grade distributed systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop Web3 platform services for tokenization, blockchain connectivity, and transaction processing.
- Build backend services that integrate with blockchain nodes, wallets, custody platforms, and smart contracts.
- Develop blockchain abstraction layers supporting Ethereum/EVM, Besu, Canton/Daml, and permissioned networks.
- Implement blockchain integrations using JSON-RPC, WebSockets, event indexing, and transaction monitoring.
- Design, develop, and support smart contracts and tokenization solutions.
- Build transaction orchestration workflows including validation, signing, approval routing, and audit logging.
- Integrate institutional wallet, custody, and key management platforms.
- Establish standards for smart contract testing, deployment, governance, and security.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to support blockchain platform scalability and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and optimize Web3 applications and production environments.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience developing distributed systems, financial platforms, or high-scale transaction systems.
- Strong hands-on Web3 engineering experience with blockchain platforms and decentralized applications.
- Deep expertise in Ethereum/EVM architecture, smart contracts, transaction lifecycle management, and blockchain data models.
- Experience integrating with blockchain nodes, wallets, custody platforms, signing systems, and smart contracts.
- Strong knowledge of JSON-RPC, WebSockets, event indexing, transaction monitoring, and blockchain connectivity.
- Experience with wallet infrastructure, digital asset custody, transaction signing, and key management practices.
- Proficiency in one or more languages such as Java, Go, Kotlin, TypeScript, Rust, Python, or C++.
- Experience developing APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native applications.
- Experience with Canton, Daml, validator/participant concepts, DAR deployments, or institutional blockchain workflows.
- Experience with Hyperledger Besu, token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155, ERC-1400, ERC-3643), smart contract security, and regulated financial environments preferred.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $60.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
