My client is seeking a Web Service API Developer to help build innovative, scalable, and high‑performance software solutions.
You will join a dynamic, tech‑curious team working with Scrum, DevOps, and CI/CD to deliver modern digital services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and evolve APIs and Web Services for the ABIS platform
- Build high‑quality REST APIs enabling data exchange across police applications and external partners
- Collaborate with frontend and backend developers on technical analysis and solution design
- Contribute to backend development using PHP, Python, and JavaScript
- Optionally support UI development (HTML, CSS, JS)
- Work in a modern DevOps environment using GitLab, CI/CD, and agile delivery practices
Required Skills
- REST API development — Confirmed
- Software architecture — Confirmed
- CI/CD, DevOps, GitLab — Confirmed
- PHP development — Confirmed (Expert level)
- Python development — Confirmed
- Application security — Confirmed
- SQL / NoSQL / PostgreSQL — Confirmed
- Automated testing — Junior level
Languages
- French or Dutch (passive knowledge of the second required)
- English
Working Conditions
- Minimum 2 days/week on‑site in Brussels (depending on tasks)
- Teleworking permitted within Belgium
- Work within a multidisciplinary team of internal and external collaborators
