About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Windows Systems Engineer to serve as a technical subject matter expert within a large enterprise infrastructure environment. This individual will play a key role in designing, supporting, and optimizing Windows-based systems while collaborating across multiple technical teams to resolve complex infrastructure challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in large-scale Windows Server environments.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate technical efforts and drive issue resolution across multiple teams.
- Strong expertise with:
- Windows Server 2019, 2022, and newer versions
- Hyper-V and VMware ESX virtualization
- Windows Clustering
- Active Directory Domain Services
- DNS and DHCP
- SSL/TLS technologies
- Network infrastructure, DMZs, and security zones
- Hands-on experience supporting and maintaining enterprise server hardware, including rack-mounted servers, blade servers, and blade chassis infrastructure.
- Experience managing both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure environments.
- Advanced PowerShell scripting expertise.
- Strong knowledge of Group Policy (GPO) administration, LDAP, and domain controller integrations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts, challenges, and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with enterprise server and infrastructure hardware solutions.
- Experience with hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) and cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure.
- Microsoft, virtualization, or networking certifications.
- Experience deploying and supporting Microsoft SQL Server environments.
- Working knowledge of LDAP, certificate services, PKI, and certificate authority infrastructure.
- Experience with enterprise systems management and monitoring tools such as configuration management, monitoring, observability, and infrastructure management platforms.
- Familiarity with ITIL best practices and service management frameworks.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Excellent presentation and stakeholder communication abilities.
