We seek a skilled WordPress Developer proficient in front-end and back-end development to join our team. As a WordPress Developer, you will create and maintain WordPress websites, ensuring they are efficient, functional, and visually appealing. Your role will involve collaborating with designers, content creators, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop responsive and user-friendly frontend interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Customise WordPress themes to achieve desired designs and functionalities.
- Implement and optimise frontend performance to ensure fast loading times and a smooth user experience.
- Collaborate with designers to translate visual concepts into functional front-end elements.
- Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility of front-end components.
- Integrate multimedia elements such as images, videos, and animations into WordPress websites.
- Implement best practices for accessibility and usability in front-end development.
Backend Development:
- Customise and extend WordPress core functionalities using PHP and MySQL.
- Implement and maintain backend features such as user authentication, data management, and security measures.
- Optimise website performance by implementing caching mechanisms and database optimisations.
- Troubleshoot and debug backend issues, ensuring seamless operation of WordPress websites.
- Implement backup and recovery solutions to safeguard website data.
- Manage website forms, hosting, domains, SSL, DNS, emails, and server-related activities through cPanel
Requirements
- Bachelor‘s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with expertise in both frontend and backend development.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
- Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, themes, and plugins.
- Experience with responsive design techniques and frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap).
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Certification in WordPress development (optional but desirable).
