We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a highly skilled Workshop Controller to join their busy dealership located in Barnstaple. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to oversee workshop operations within a reputable motor trade environment. The ideal individual will possess strong management skills, a proactive approach, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Benefits:
Basic salary of up to £35,000 per annum, with an OTE of approximately £40,000
Monday to Friday working hours from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
No weekend work or late shifts

Regular working hours promoting a healthy work-life balanceDuties of a Workshop Controller:
Manage and organise the workshop schedule to optimise productivity and workflow
Support and lead the workshop team to ensure efficient vehicle repairs and maintenance
Liaise directly with customers regarding vehicle repair updates and costs
Maintain high standards of workshop organisation, health, safety, and compliance
Assist technicians with diagnostics and troubleshooting as needed
Ensure all workshop processes adhere to manufacturer and health & safety standardsRequirements of a Workshop Controller:
Proven experience as a Workshop Controller or Workshop Manager within the motor trade
Excellent leadership and organisational skills
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and customers
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively
Full UK driving licence is essential
