Senior Android Developer (Kotlin)
About the Role
We are looking for a talented and driven Senior Android Developer with strong expertise in Kotlin to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will design, build, and evolve a high-quality native Android application that delight our users. You will play a key technical role delivering polished, high-performance mobile experiences from concept to Google Play Store.
What You'll Do
Design, develop, and maintain our native Android application using Kotlin
Build robust, scalable, and testable mobile solution that stand the test of time
Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to define requirements and ship impactful new features
Write clean, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code
Run code reviews and provide thoughtful, constructive feedback to your peers
Optimize application performance, responsiveness, and resource usage for a seamless user experience
Stay up to date with Android platform releases, Jetpack libraries, and evolving industry best practices
Contribute to sprint planning, effort estimation, and technical decision-making
What We're Looking For
5+ years of professional Android development experience
Expert-level proficiency in Kotlin
Strong command of Jetpack Compose and XML-based UI development
Hands-on experience with Coroutines, Flow, and reactive programming patterns
Solid understanding of Material Design guidelines and Android platform design principles
Proficiency with Android Studio, Gradle, and native debugging and profiling tools
Experience integrating RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and third-party SDKs
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines such as Fastlane, GitHub Actions, or Gradle plugins
Strong grasp of software design patterns including MVVM, MVI, and Clean Architecture
Proven track record of publishing and maintaining apps on the Google Play Store
Nice to Have
Experience with Room, DataStore, Realm, or SQLDelight for local data persistence
Knowledge of Java for maintaining or migrating legacy codebases
Familiarity with app modularization strategies and multi-module Gradle projects
Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) for cross-platform code sharing
Open-source contributions to the Android developer community
