(senior) application development manager (data platform management)
Job Responsibilities
Support the data governance of the data platform, including data requirement management, data ingestion management, and authorization management.
Implement data platform architecture including big data, No SQL, streaming and AI applications to provide data services to other banking systems and business users.
Perform system analysis, design, development and maintenance for data platforms and applications.
Design and deliver in-house self‑service analytic solutions.
Establish framework, development standard, enterprise data model and incorporate Dev Ops tools and methodology for data platforms.
Troubleshoot problems, propose recommendations to resolve issues, and collaborate with developers and/or external parties to resolve technical issues.
Candidate with less relevant experience would be considered as Application Development Manager.
Requirements
Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines.
At least 8 years of application development experience, preferably in enterprise data warehouse and big data/AI projects with sound project management experience.
Proficient skills with data warehouse technologies, such as SQL, DB2, Data Stage ETL, data reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
Knowledgeable in big data technologies including Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Kafka streaming and No SQL (such as Mongo DB and Neo4 J).
Having knowledge in the following is a PLUS: Java, Python, Kubernetes, Docker, microservices, distributed computing concepts.
Self‑motivated, open mindset, good problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills, good interpersonal and communication skills, team building and problem‑solving skills.
Banking and Financial Services industry experience preferred.
Proficiency in both Chinese and English; Mandarin an advantage.
