Role Summary
Avahi is seeking a motivated and eager-to-learn AWS DevOps Engineer to join our skilled team.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, AWS services, and DevOps best practices while supporting the team in implementing scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions.
You'll collaborate with experienced engineers, gain valuable technical skills, and contribute to impactful cloud projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in building and managing AWS-based cloud infrastructure.
- Support AWS service configuration, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
- Work with the team to implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, and CircleCI.
- Support containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Automate routine tasks and deployments using scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and architects.
- Contribute to improving internal processes and workflows to enhance cloud deployments.
- Monitor infrastructure performance and system health using AWS monitoring tools (CloudWatch, X-Ray).
- Follow cloud security best practices and assist in implementing secure infrastructure solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with AWS services and industry best practices.
- Participate in technical training sessions and team knowledge-sharing activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Basic understanding of AWS cloud services like EC2, S3, and Lambda.
- Familiarity with DevOps concepts such as CI/CD, version control, and infrastructure automation.
- Basic scripting experience in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Understanding of Docker and container management principles (Kubernetes a plus).
- Familiarity with tools like Terraform or CloudFormation is desirable.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic cloud infrastructure and deployment issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication for effective team collaboration.
Bonus Qualifications
- AWS Cloud Practitioner or AWS Associate-level certification (Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer).
- Experience working on cloud-based projects in a professional, internship, or academic setting.
- Exposure to modern development workflows, including Git, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies.
- Interest in Data, Machine Learning, or AI technologies.
