Detailed Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Backend Python Developer with a minimum of 7 years of total experience, including at least 2 years of hands-on experience with AWS.
Role Description
The role is part of the Senior Cloud Platform Engineering team and will be responsible for designing and developing solutions necessary for cloud adoption and automation. This includes building libraries, patterns, standards, governance frameworks, and deploying everything through code using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
The role also requires strong hands-on experience with cloud components and services, coupled with a development mindset and a solid understanding of coding practices, CI/CD, SDLC, Agile concepts, and industry best practices.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS components and services, preferably including:
- Lambda Functions
- SQS
- SNS
- Step Functions
- DynamoDB
- IAM
- S3
- API Gateway
- Strong development experience, preferably using:
- AWS CDK
- Python programming
- Good to have:
- Serverless Framework
- ECR
- ECS
- Ability to write Python unit test cases using PyTest.
- Ability to work as an individual contributor while also leading solutions and mentoring team members.

This role will report to the Cloud Program Manager.
