Sr Backend Developer / Python

Interview Process: 2 technical rounds then 1 with hiring manager( MIGHT BE ONSITE INTERVIEW )

THE MANAGER IS VERY PICKY - HE DOESNT WANT PEOPLE FROM *Osmania University-- INDIA )

*He is very picky about candidates' backgrounds there they are jumpy/have gaps we need a story as to why. He prefers candidates with longer stints, someone who wants to stay for a long time

if we can find someone with AI experience then that would be a bonus - however Python and Cloud experience should be solid and should be individual contributor

Required:
8-10+ years of software engineering experience
Strong Python development experience
FastAPI and REST API development
Strong SQL/database experience
Extensive Azure/cloud experience
CI/CD and DevOps experience
Experience building and supporting production applications
Strong individual contributor who can work independently and own deliverables
Strong communication skills

Experience building AI-powered applications

Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
2. Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating Python-based projects, particularly AI-focused applications.
3. Proficiency in Python and experience with Python web framework FastAPI including Pydantic, SQL Alchemy/SQL Model.
4. Experience with AI / Agentic frameworks (Good to have) and libraries like OpenAI and LangChain, LangGraph, Anthropic API's.
5. Familiarity with Azure AI Services (Good to have), including Azure OpenAI, and AI-related deployment in Azure cloud environments.
6. Databricks experience good to have.
6. Experience building RESTful APIs using Python.
7. Strong understanding of SQL databases, with proficiency in writing efficient SQL queries and optimizing database interactions.
8. Familiarity with Azure services like Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Azure Key Vault.
9. Experience in DevOps pipelines, including build, release, and CI/CD processes on platforms like Azure DevOps.
10. Basic front-end development skills in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with a focus on integrating AI functionalities into web interfaces using Streamlit or Plotly Dash.
11. Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps)
12. Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
