Parametric is part of Morgan Stanley Investment Management, the asset management division of Morgan Stanley. We partner with advisors, institutions, and consultants to build portfolios focused on what's important to them and their clients. A leader in custom solutions for more than 30 years, we help investors access efficient market exposures, solve implementation challenges, and design multi-asset portfolios that respond to their evolving needs. This role is part of Parametric's hybrid working model, which includes working in the office 3 days a week and choosing to work remotely or in the office the remaining days of the week.
ABOUT THE TEAM
Parametric provides systematic solutions fueled by science and prides itself on building genuine, long-term partnerships with clients. The Investment Strategy team's mandate is to create and deliver powerful stories for external and internal clients and turn investment research into real-world portfolios for investors. We meet with clients and prospects, present at events, and write papers. We also work on complex custom analysis and custom portfolio design, product evolution, and new product development. ABOUT THE ROLE
This position partners closely with the Managing Director of Investment Strategy and Productivity Team Lead to oversee the operational, administrative and strategic elements that help the department run effectively. This person is an individual contributor focused on managing the environment, processes, and infrastructure that supports employee success and enables strong leadership. They are a key member of the Investment Strategy team. We are seeking a motivated, confident individual who is interested in the financial industry and seeks a long-term career helping investment teams achieve ambitious goals and outstanding results. The candidate should have the ability to build strong relationships within and across various departments. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinating department’s annual strategic planning and budget activities
• Managing department collaboration tools, knowledge repositories, permissions, and shared resources (Confluence, Pi, Teams SharePoint sites)
• Leading business continuity planning, audit requests, and governance-related activities, enabling uninterrupted support in the case of planned or unplanned disruptions
• Maintaining oversight of strategic and operational documentation (ex: strategy methodology)
• Play a central role in leading or coordinating strategic initiatives owned by the MD and ensuring their timely execution. This could include direct project management of an initiative owned by the MD or acting as a primary point of contact for a project manager of an initiative that the MD contributes to
• Initiate and contribute to efforts to maximize employee engagement and enhance the employee experience within a hybrid work structure via ongoing and one-time initiatives. For example: employee onboarding/offboarding and other hiring efforts, social events, communication flow and org. chart management, facilities and technology change management in service of the entire Investment Strategy organization
• Act as first point of contact among the Investment Strategy department for operational inquiries, permission management, and structure of shared working spaces. Prioritize and follow-up on incoming issues and concerns, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature. Determine appropriate course of action, referral, or response
• Lead and plan department and team events such as business planning and onsite events. This may include directly arranging – or coordinating to arrange – travel and related event logistics, expense processes, and other relevant process and policy adherence
• Work with Manager and MD to capture the evolving needs of the firm and suggest possible solutions
• Other duties may be assigned to meet the business needs

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience
• 7+ years of Project/Program Management experience required, with proven ability to manage multiple related and concurrent workstreams with high attention to detail and manage stakeholders at all levels across the organization
• Ability to work efficiently, juggle multiple projects with appropriate prioritization, adhere to quick deadlines, deal comfortably with ambiguity, and adapt to evolving circumstances
• Experience in exercising sensibility, discretion, and diplomacy in handling all matters, information, and relationships (including confidential or sensitive information)
• Ability to communicate project schedules, status, and measurement (where applicable)
• Must be client service oriented; Very strong attention to detail; Must demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness, and patience.
• Excellent organizational skills plus strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must take initiative, have a passion for driving efficiencies, and have a demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a collaborative team environment
• Proven ability as liaison between technical teams and business visionaries – not a “go between” but rather facilitator and someone who can capture the vision from both points of view into a cohesive roadmap and implementation plan
• Ability to manage by influence and drive hard with a smile and calm confidence
• Resourceful, with a can-do attitude toward projects and willingness to apply creative problem solving
• Prior experience using workflow management technology, preferably Workfront; and demonstrated ability and willingness to learn and use new technology
