General Job Specification: 2 x Cloud Infrastructure Engineers Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Number of Positions: 2 We are looking for two experienced and motivated Cloud Infrastructure Engineers to join our client's technical team. The successful candidates will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining and supporting secure, scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure environments. Key Responsibilities Design, implement and maintain cloud infrastructure and services. Manage and support cloud-based servers, networks, storage and security solutions. Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, availability and capacity. Identify and resolve infrastructure-related incidents and technical issues. Implement and maintain cloud security, access controls and backup solutions. Support disaster recovery and business continuity processes. Automate infrastructure deployment and configuration where possible. Work with Development, DevOps, Security and other IT teams to support applications and services. Assist with cloud migrations and infrastructure modernisation projects. Ensure cloud environments are secure, scalable, reliable and cost-effective. Maintain technical documentation, infrastructure diagrams and operational procedures. Monitor and optimise cloud resource usage and costs. Participate in infrastructure planning, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives. Provide technical support during deployments, system changes and production incidents. Minimum Requirements Relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cloud Computing or a related field. Proven experience in Cloud Infrastructure Engineering, Systems Engineering or a similar technical role. Experience working with one or more major cloud platforms, such as: AWS Microsoft Azure Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, networking, storage and security. Experience with Windows and/or Linux operating systems. Knowledge of virtualisation and container technologies. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and automation. Understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, VPNs, firewalls and load balancing. Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions. Experience with monitoring and performance management tools. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently as well as within a technical team. Advantageous Skills Cloud certifications such as AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud certifications. Experience with Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation or similar automation tools. Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Knowledge of cloud security and compliance requirements. Experience with hybrid cloud environments. Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash or Python. Key Competencies Strong technical and analytical skills. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. The successful candidates will play an important role in ensuring that our client's cloud infrastructure remains secure, stable, scalable and capable of supporting current and future business requirements. A technologist with strong analytical, design and writing skills, responsible for translating complex business and technical concepts into clear specifications, design artefacts, process flows and implementation guidance. Preferred background: Solution Analyst, Systems Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Integration Analyst, Junior Solution Architect, API/Product Analyst, or Technology Consultant with strong documentation capabilities. AWS Technology stack – Java, AWS, IBM MQ / MQ Series / WebSphere MQ, Swift. PEM: payment gateways – incoming/outgoing – international payments – preferably experience in financial institutions – inbound and outbound forex payments departments PCE: biometric systems experience would be excellent to have The contract terms are 6 to 18 months – the PEM’s positions are 18 months.
