Responsibilities
- Turn prototyped computer vision and deep learning algorithms into high‑quality, product‑ready code.
- Design and implement strategies for optimizing computer vision algorithms for different hardware architectures (e.g., x86, GPU, multi‑core ARM CPU, AI accelerator) based on performance, power, and size constraints.
- Participate in and provide input on project code reviews.
- Receive detailed instructions for routine work, new projects, or assignments.
- Design and/or review architected modules and software systems supporting new technology or improving the capability/performance of existing functionality.
- Communicate with embedded systems, backend server, and computer vision engineers to continuously improve and optimize implemented algorithms.
- Create automated software tests and provide support to troubleshoot software issues when needed.
- Document software architecture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (preferably with specialization in computer vision and machine learning).
- 0–2 years of relevant work experience.
- Basic understanding of computer vision; key interest areas include at least one of the following: object detection, tracking and recognition, multiple view geometry, OCR, anomaly detection, camera calibration, 3‑D data processing, segmentation, image recognition.
- Experience optimizing embedded GPU or AI accelerator platforms (e.g., Nvidia, ARM).
- Experience with parallelized and vectorized computation.
- Optional: solid GPU programming experience using CUDA or OpenCL.
- Strong C++ and Python programming skills.
Pay & Benefits
- Pay Range: $74,160.00 – $111,240.00 per year.
- Annual incentive compensation: up to 10% of base pay, based on performance and applicable incentive plan.
