Data Engineer | Cloud & Data Platforms
Build and operate data platforms in production at enterprise clients, while accelerating your engineering skills through weekly deep-dives, real project feedback and a structured growth track.
This is not a training program. You work in production from the start and develop yourself through real-world engineering challenges, guided by experienced Tech Leads.
What you’ll work on
As a Data Engineer, you design, build and operate data platforms that are actually used by the business.
You work on:
- Building scalable data pipelines (batch and streaming)
- Designing and maintaining cloud-based data platforms
- Developing data-intensive applications and processing systems
- Productionizing data and machine learning workflows
- Improving reliability, performance and scalability of data systems
You don’t work on isolated scripts, you build systems that need to run, scale and deliver value in production.
Your environment
You work four days per week at one of our partner organizations, as part of an engineering team working on business-critical platforms.
On the fifth day, you return to Xccelerated for:
- Advanced technical deep-dives
- Architecture and design sessions
- Feedback on challenges from your own project
- Guidance from experienced Data Engineering Tech Leads
This setup allows you to accelerate your growth while building real production experience at the same time.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for engineers who care about building systems, not just using tools.
Must-have
- 3–5 years of experience as a Data Engineer
- Strong Python and skills
- Experience with building data pipelines or data platforms
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure or GCP)
- Understanding of scalable systems and data processing
Nice-to-have
- Experience with Spark, Airflow, Kafka or similar tools
- Experience with data warehousing or lakehouse architectures
- Exposure to CI/CD, containerization or infrastructure-as-code
