The ideal candidate combines strong SQL development skills with excellent logical and analytical reasoning, attention to detail, and a commitment to data quality, security, performance, and operational reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain SQL, DDL, DML, views, stored procedures, functions, Streams, Tasks, and other database components

  • Build ETL/ELT processes that extract, validate, transform, reconcile, and load data from upstream application systems
  • Translate business rules, source-to-target mappings, and reporting requirements into accurate, testable database logic
  • Implement data-quality checks, reconciliation controls, logging, error handling, auditability, and rollback procedures
  • Diagnose and resolve data, SQL, pipeline, and performance issues using evidence-based root-cause analysis
  • Tune queries, procedures, data models, indexes, clustering, and workload patterns for performance and cost efficiency
  • Apply secure development practices, including least privilege, access controls, masking, retention, and protection of sensitive data
  • Deliver changes through GitHub, pull requests, peer review, testing, and controlled deployment processes

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail when working with financial, customer, or other sensitive data

      Nice to Have

      • Amazon RDS, AWS, cloud database migration, or managed application-platform experience
      • ETL/ELT pipelines, source-to-target mappings, incremental processing, and reconciliation frameworks
      • Data governance, masking, row access policies, classification, retention, lineage, and audit controls
      • CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, observability, incident management, or automated testing
      • Python, Java, APIs, or database-backed application development
