The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with extensive experience in enterprise data platforms, ETL development, data warehousing, regulatory reporting, and risk data management. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise End to End Pipeline building, ETL/ELT, Python, SQL/PLSQL, Business Object, ODI, TWS, Oracle, and financial reporting frameworks, with hands-on experience supporting Risk and Regulatory Reporting solutions within Banking and Financial Services environments.

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Data Integration

  • Design, develop, and support scalable data engineering solutions for enterprise data platforms.
  • Build and maintain ETL/ELT processes, Data IKU, and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
  • Develop robust data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, validation, and reporting.
  • Ensure data quality, reconciliation, lineage, and governance across data ecosystems.
  • Optimize data processing jobs for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Oracle & SQL Development

  • Design and develop complex Oracle database solutions.
  • Create and optimize SQL/PLSQL queries, stored procedures, functions, packages, and performance tuning solutions.
  • Analyze and resolve database performance bottlenecks.
  • Support data extraction, transformation, and reporting initiatives.

Data Warehouse & RFO Framework

  • Work with RFO Master and Satellite data models.
  • Design and enhance Master Data and Satellite layer integrations.
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and governance of risk and finance data.
  • Support enterprise data warehouse modernization and optimization initiatives.

Production Support & Operations

  • Provide L2/L3 production support for critical data platforms.
  • Investigate batch failures, data issues, and reporting discrepancies.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive actions.
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs and operational KPIs.
  • Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.

Automation & Scheduling

  • Develop automation solutions using Python and Shell Scripting.
  • Support workload automation and batch scheduling tools.
  • Automate data validation, reconciliation, monitoring, and operational reporting processes.

Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with Business, Risk, Finance, Regulatory, and Technology teams.
  • Translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and solution design workshops.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members.
  • Support enterprise Risk and Regulatory Reporting platforms.
  • Develop and maintain reporting solutions aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Risk, Finance, Compliance, and Business stakeholders.
  • Ensure regulatory reporting data accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness.
  • Support data validation, reconciliation, and regulatory submissions.

Required Technical and Professional Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering and Data Warehouse environments.

  • Strong hands-on expertise in Oracle, SQL, ODI, and SAP BODS.

  • Experience supporting Risk & Regulatory Reporting platforms in Banking and Financial Services.

  • Good understanding of RFO Master and Satellite data models.

  • Proven experience in production support, incident management, and data operations.

  • Experienced Data Engineer with expertise in Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT Development, Data Integration, Data Modeling, and Data Quality & Reconciliation. Strong technical proficiency in Dataiku, SQL/PLSQL, ODI, Python, Oracle, Unix/Linux, and TWS, with extensive experience in Banking & Regulatory domains including Risk Data Management, Regulatory Reporting, Data Governance, and Financial Reporting. Familiar with AWS/Azure Cloud, Power BI, MicroStrategy, Business Objects, Jira, ServiceNow, Git, and DevOps practices.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Ability to work with global stakeholders across Business, Risk, Finance, and Technology teams.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

  • Experience leading offshore/onshore delivery teams is highly desirable.
