Role Overview
Infosys is looking for a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer (SCON) who can design, build, and manage scalable, secure AWS cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and efficient application delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design and manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda)
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments
- Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or CloudFormation
- Automate build, release, and operational workflows
- Monitor system performance, availability, and cost optimization
- Ensure cloud security, compliance, and access controls (IAM, KMS)
- Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause analysis
- Collaborate with Dev, QA, and Ops teams for seamless releases
- Manage and troubleshoot production for Kubernetes (EKS/ECS) and Docker environments
- Develop and maintain monitoring dashboards with CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana
- Document and maintain procedural knowledge base
- Work at a computer for extended periods, including prolonged sitting
Required Skills
- At least 7 years of information technology experience, 5+ years in DevOps or cloud engineering
- Strong expertise in core AWS services and architecture
- Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or CloudFormation
- Experience with containers: Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/ECS)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or Bash)
- Experience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Good understanding of networking, security, and Linux operating systems
- Strong communication skills – verbal, written, and face‑to‑face
- Valid work authorization in Canada; Canada citizenship or permanent residency
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or equivalent progressive experience in lieu of a degree
- Located within commuting distance of Mississauga, Ontario, or willing to relocate (travel may be required)
- Authorized to work in Canada without employer‑based visa sponsorship (Infosys does not provide immigration sponsorship for this role)
Benefits & Compensation
Estimated annual compensation range for Ontario: $92,740 to $105,007.
