DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer We're recruiting on behalf of a growing, international fintech organisation for an experienced DevOps Engineer. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative engineering team driving the modernisation of a cloud platform, with a strong focus on automation, observability, and developer experience. The Role You'll play a key role in designing, building, and optimising a cloud-native platform on AWS, supporting the migration of services to ECS, enhancing CI/CD pipelines, and improving platform reliability and scalability. Working closely with development teams, you'll help deliver self-service capabilities while maintaining high standards of security and compliance. Key Responsibilities Design and implement AWS-based container platforms using ECS. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code with Terraform. Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions. Implement and enhance observability using Datadog. Support, maintain, and optimise AWS cloud infrastructure. Improve deployment processes, documentation, and platform standards. Collaborate with engineering teams to improve developer experience. Support incident response and platform operations. Monitor and optimise cloud costs. About You 3+ years' experience in a senior AWS Platform or DevOps Engineering role. Strong experience with AWS, ECS, Docker, and Terraform. Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD automation. Experience implementing observability solutions, ideally Datadog. Knowledge of AWS security, networking, and highly available architectures. Strong scripting skills in Python and/or Bash. Experience working within regulated or security-conscious environments is advantageous. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Desirable Skills GitOps practices and tooling.
