The Digital Account Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution and optimisation of digital media campaigns while managing strong client relationships and ensuring commercial excellence. The role acts as the day-to-day strategic lead for digital activity, working closely with planning, investment, strategy, analytics and media partners to deliver measurable business outcomes.
The Digital Account Manager is also responsible for developing team capability, driving innovation and ensuring the highest standards of operational delivery.
While this is a digital focused role but there will be expectation to do overall strategic media planning and grow into a hybrid AM.

Key responsibilities:

Client Leadership

  • Build trusted relationships with clients through proactive communication and strategic partnership.
  • Lead day-to-day client engagement across campaigns and projects.
  • Understand client business objectives and translate them into effective digital media solutions.
  • Manage expectations, identify risks early and recommend solutions.
  • Present campaign recommendations, performance reviews and strategic initiatives confidently.

Digital Strategy & Planning

  • Lead the development of digital media strategies aligned to business objectives.
  • Build integrated channel recommendations across:
    • Paid Search
    • Paid Social
    • Programmatic
    • Display
    • Video
    • Audio
    • Retail Media
    • CRM where relevant
    • Develop measurement frameworks and KPIs.
    • Identify innovation and test-and-learn opportunities.
    • Ensure digital recommendations support broader ATL and integrated media strategies.

Campaign Delivery

  • Oversee campaign implementation and optimisation.
  • Monitor performance and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure campaigns deliver against agreed KPIs.
  • Lead post-campaign analysis with actionable insights.
  • Maintain high standards of quality assurance.

Commercial & Financial Management

  • Manage campaign budgets and financial reconciliation.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting, invoicing and purchase order management.
  • Track Forecast vs Actuals.
  • Identify commercial opportunities and efficiencies.
  • Support agency profitability through sound financial management.

Team Leadership

  • Coach and develop Account Executives and Specialists.
  • Provide clear direction and constructive feedback.
  • Share digital knowledge across the wider team.
  • Foster collaboration across planning, buying, strategy and analytics.
  • Contribute to a positive, high-performing team culture.

Innovation & Industry Leadership

  • Stay ahead of digital media trends and platform developments.
  • Build strong relationships with media owners and technology partners.
  • Drive innovation across campaigns.
  • Contribute to award submissions and thought leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve client effectiveness through new technology or solutions.
