We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Document Controller to join our ID - Infrastructure Engineering team in Perth on a Permanent Full Time basis.

Reporting to the Team Leader - Document Services, you will play a key role in providing document management services that ensure accurate, timely, and compliant control of engineering and project documentation across APA. Maintain a single source of truth for technical records, enabling effective collaboration, traceability, and handover of asset information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day document control activities, ensuring project documents are accurate, up to date, and stored correctly within the EDMS/CDE.
  • Coordinate the review, approval, and distribution of engineering documents, contractor submissions, and project handover documentation.
  • Maintain document control standards, including version control, naming conventions, filing structures, and document governance.
  • Develop effective, professional and proactive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers.
  • Support and train project teams and contractors on document management processes and provide ongoing system support. Identify opportunities to improve document management systems and processes while ensuring compliance with quality and audit requirements.

Your background

  • Previous experience in document control, records management, or a similar role within engineering, construction, infrastructure, utilities, or a related industry.
  • Experience using an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) or Common Data Environment (CDE) (e.g Forma, InEight, Aconex).
  • Good understanding of engineering drawings, project documentation, document lifecycles, and handover processes.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across project teams and provide guidance on document control best practices.
