We are seeking an Embedded Developer (Test Automation) to join our team.

The Embedded Developer (Test Automation) will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions for automotive embedded hardware systems. This role focuses on automating Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing environments, validating ECU communication, and ensuring reliable software and hardware integration. The ideal Embedded Developer (Test Automation) will possess strong expertise in automotive communication protocols, embedded systems, and automation frameworks while working in an Agile development environment.

The Embedded Developer (Test Automation) will collaborate closely with software developers, hardware engineers, and validation teams to build robust automated test solutions that improve product quality, reduce manual testing efforts, and support continuous integration initiatives. The successful Embedded Developer (Test Automation) will have hands-on experience in automotive test automation, CAN-based communication, and embedded tool development. Job Description

The ideal candidate will have 4 6 years of experience in embedded software development and automotive test automation with strong expertise in Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments.

This position requires hands-on experience with automotive communication protocols, embedded ECU communication, automation scripting, and automotive validation tools to develop and execute automated testing solutions for embedded hardware systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for embedded automotive systems.
  • Develop and execute Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test automation solutions.
  • Automate validation of embedded hardware setups using Python and industry-standard automotive tools.
  • Develop CAPL scripts for CAN-based testing and simulation.
  • Work with CANoe and CANape for ECU testing, diagnostics, and validation.
  • Validate communication across CAN, LIN, and UDS protocols.
  • Develop and maintain automated regression and functional test suites.
  • Analyze DBC files for CAN signal decoding and message validation.
  • Debug CAN communication issues and resolve protocol-related defects.
  • Support ECU communication stack development and testing.
  • Implement signal-level encoding and decoding for automotive communication.
  • Create automation utilities and user interfaces using Python.
  • Collaborate with embedded software, hardware, and validation engineers.
  • Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Troubleshoot embedded hardware and software integration issues.
  • Document test procedures, automation frameworks, and validation results.
  • Improve automation efficiency and overall testing coverage.
