Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimize firmware and embedded software for next-generation connected devices, industrial automation systems, automotive platforms, medical devices, and IoT products. This role focuses on developing high-performance, real-time embedded applications that interact directly with hardware components while ensuring reliability, security, and compliance with industry standards. You will collaborate closely with hardware engineers, systems architects, electrical engineers, QA teams, and product managers to build embedded software solutions supporting mission-critical products deployed across enterprise and industrial environments. The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in embedded C/C++, RTOS development, device drivers, communication protocols, and hardware-software integration. Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain embedded software and firmware for microcontroller and microprocessor-based systems.
Develop low-level device drivers, Board Support Packages (BSP), bootloaders, and hardware abstraction layers (HAL).
Build real-time applications using RTOS platforms including FreeRTOS, VxWorks, ThreadX, Zephyr, or Embedded Linux.
Develop firmware supporting communication interfaces including UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, Ethernet, BLE, and MQTT.
Collaborate with hardware engineers during board bring-up, hardware validation, and system integration activities.
Optimize embedded applications for CPU utilization, memory footprint, power consumption, and boot time.
Familiarity with FPGA integration and hardware acceleration.
Experience using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI for firmware automation.
Knowledge of Python or Shell scripting for test automation and manufacturing support.
Experience with cloud-connected IoT platforms including AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, or Google Cloud IoT.
Embedded systems certifications or contributions to open-source embedded projects are highly desirable.
Project Environment You will be joining an embedded engineering team developing next-generation intelligent devices and connected systems supporting enterprise and industrial customers. Current initiatives include:
Industrial IoT gateways and edge computing platforms
Smart manufacturing and factory automation controllers
Automotive electronic control units (ECUs)
Medical monitoring and diagnostic devices
Connected consumer electronics and smart home devices
Wireless sensor networks and edge AI platforms
Embedded Linux networking appliances
Secure firmware platforms supporting OTA (Over-the-Air) software updates
High-performance embedded systems deployed across mission-critical environments
