Job description
Job Function :
Perform Firmware testing activities like Test Setup, Test Development, Protocols knowledge, MQTT, IOT, Digital Products, GUI testing, Execution & Test artifacts generation and contribute to smooth execution of all test Projects of Kitchen and Bath Automation Products.
Work with Firmware Development team during development and testing.
Participate in support product development and organization initiatives.
Organize and execute test activities by using formal test methodology, Automation Framework and effective Test Automation.
SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS :
Reports to Manager - QA
Technical skills:
Minimum 3 years of experience with Firmware Automation, Embedded Firmware Testing, Web Application testing / programming using Test management like VSTS, Azure DevOps, HPQC, JIRA,, Confluence, etc Automation frameworks and automation tools.
Minimum 4+ years of python programming/scripting experience with testing background.
Should be familiar with Linux/Windows.
Experience in testing different communication protocols such as MODBUS, MQTT, UART, SPI, Zigbee, ICD, TCP/ IP, Wireless, BLE, RS *, I2C etc.
Experience in programming concepts and hands on development experience working with C or C++ or python.
Well versed with Testing Methodologies and testing concepts.
Experience of testing firmware for * bit single and multi-core processors
Understanding of electronics hardware e g ADC, PWM, IO interfaces.
Knowledge of testing with network protocols like FTP, HTTP, TCP, IP, Ethernet, Wi-Fi.
In-depth development experience with Python scripting is required.
Experience in firmware automation scripting and testing.
Hands-on experience in test case design and various functional and non-functional testing types
Well versed in using hardware and software tools for test development
Proficient with test configuration management, test artefact version control processes and testing tools.
Knowledge of Subversion is desired
Proficient at evaluating new tools and technologies
Thorough understanding of software development lifecycle and familiarity with CMMi model would be good to have.
Experience with creating Requirements Traceability Matrix, Process Documents, Test Plans
Additional Skills/Experience :
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in driving and influencing automation strategies across teams.
- Passion for driving innovation and continuous improvement in automation practices.

Education Requirements : Bachelor of Engineering Electronics or related field; Master's degree preferred
Required 3+ years' experience in Automation scripting in Python, Embedded firmware testing, Protocols experience.
Representative Duties:
1.Responsible for test strategy/plan, test activities for firmware testing for Kitchen and Bath Automation Products.
Provide technical support on products / technology
2.Ensure right tools, technologies and platforms are chosen for the testing.
Improve test execution by using right tools and technologies
3. Develop test objectives, test cases, test inputs, test procedures for product testing from firmware requirements.
Ensure optimum test coverage including test to pass and fail.
4.Establish guidelines and best practices in the group to ensure an effective test development process and well tested products
5.Track and capture metrics for test schedule, test quality, test configuration management and test project management documents.
Maintain high degree of source control; manage bug tracking, change requests and improvement logs
6.Review requirements to ensure they are complete and testable
7.Responsible for test setup management and implement methods for repeatability
