Senior Engineer - Software (DevOps & C#)

The Senior Engineer will play a key role in DevOps and developing scalable applications using C# and .NET. The role will be responsible for implementing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, containerized deployments, and cloud solutions that support Eaton's digital transformation initiatives within the electrical power distribution industry.

"• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps to enable consistent, automated build, test, and deployment processes.
• Monitors application performance, availability, and operational health, and takes corrective action to maintain reliability targets.
• Troubleshoots production incidents, performs root cause analysis, and coordinates defect resolution with relevant technical and business teams.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Cloud Operations Teams, and Business Stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver solutions.
• Design and develop scalable enterprise applications, APIs, and backend services using C#, .NET and ASP.NET Core.
• Implements microservices-based solutions and event-driven integrations that support modular, maintainable, and resilient application architectures.
• Reviews code, validates technical approaches, and enforces engineering standards, design principles, and secure coding practices.
• Optimizes software for security, performance, scalability, observability, and maintainability through proactive design and implementation choices.
• Mentor junior engineers, shares technical knowledge, and supports team capability growth through coaching and practical guidance.
• Contributes to architecture discussions, technical estimation, and technology roadmap decisions within the scope of a Senior Engineer role."

Qualifications:

"Required: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Science Engineering from accredited institution
Desired: Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer/Electronics & Telecomm Engineering from accredited institution"

"Required:
• 6+ years of experience with Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
• 6+ years of experience in CI/CD technologies including GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• 6+ years of software development experience in enterprise environments.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in C# and .NET development.
• 4+ years of experience with Docker and Docker Compose.
• 4+ years of experience supporting Linux operating systems.
• 3+ years of experience in Shell/Bash, PowerShell or Python scripting. "

Skills:

"• Expertise in designing and implementing automated CI/CD pipelines, release workflows, and deployment controls.
• Strong experience in Linux administration, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and Shell/Bash automation.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Docker Compose for building, packaging, and managing containerized environments.
• Experience implementing DevSecOps practices, including security controls, vulnerability management, and compliance checks within CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient in monitoring, alerting, and log analysis using Dynatrace and similar observability platforms to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Strong experience with ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, and backend service development.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed application design.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

Desired:
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools such as Playwright, Selenium, JMeter, and Pytest, with experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and collaborating with QA teams to enforce quality gate.
• Strong working knowledge of Azure and/or AWS, with experience deploying, scaling, and monitoring cloud-native applications."
