Job Summary
Join our collaborative and talented engineering team as a senior full-stack developer to help us solve challenging problems and build delightful user experiences within our product.
You will make an impact every day by contributing code across our stack, which includes a web application written primarily in React.js and Node.js/Typescript.
Duties and Responsibilities
Independently understand, design, implement and support a story or epic sized at 0-13 story points.
Contribute readable, maintainable, and performant code to our existing codebases. Participate in code reviews with other members of the development team. Follow agile software development methods.
Work with the Product team to solidify and validate requirements. Work with the Engineering team to solidify and validate software designs as well as to solidify and validate software test plans.
Debug and resolve production problems, clearly communicating root cause, resolutions, and workarounds.
Contribute to internal knowledge base articles and documentation. Participate in blameless postmortems to identify points of failure and prevent future issues. Mentor less-experienced software developers.
Contribute to software architecture design.
Recognize and execute upon opportunities to refactor existing code to improve its readability, maintainability, and quality.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience as a software developer working on a team in an agile environment.
BS or higher in Computer Science or related field.
High level of competency in TypeScript, React, and Node.js. Experience programming web applications and building RESTful APIs.
Experience working with both client and server side GraphQL.
Experience with AI-powered developer tools.
Experience building applications in Go and understanding interoperability with C via CGo.
Experience writing automated unit, integration, and E2E tests.
Proficiency with relational databases, such as Postgres, and query tuning.
A working knowledge of caching, cache invalidations, and TTL tuning.
Proficiency in AWS technologies including EC2, ECS, DynamoDB, S3, RDS, SQS, SNS, SES,
Lambda.
Experience with Git and any code review tool.
Experience building and maturing CI/CD pipelines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and a team-oriented
mindset.
Experience with general IT Infrastructure, Managed Service Providers, or the Observability space is a plus
