Job Description
As a Junior Full-Stack Developer, you will assist in the design and implementation of enterprise-level backend and frontend solutions modernized Azure-based data ecosystem. This role emphasizes scalability, security, and integration with advanced analytics and data-sharing tools. You will help integrate analytical and AI solutions within existing system architectures and workflows, working alongside senior engineers to build and maintain mission-critical data infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Development & Implementation
Assist in designing and implementing backend and frontend components for enterprise data solutions on Azure.
Build and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), including complex pipelines, triggers, parameterization, monitoring, and error handling.
Support development and optimization of Azure Synapse Analytics SQL pools, Spark pools, and data warehousing solutions.
Data Engineering Support
Assist in the organization, security, and performance tuning of Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2).
Support implementation of ETL/ELT patterns following medallion architecture principles.
Configure and troubleshoot Self-hosted Integration Runtime including setup, scaling, networking, and security.
DevOps & Source Control
Utilize Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines (YAML), build/release automation, repository management, branching strategies, and code reviews.
Maintain code quality and adhere to established engineering standards and practices.
Track and manage technical issues using Azure DevOps, GitHub, or other federal Agency-approved tools.
Integration & Security
Assist with Azure networking configurations including VNET, private endpoints, and firewalls.
Support implementation of security controls aligned with Zero Trust principles and federal security requirements.
Integrate analytical and AI/ML solutions into existing federal agecy system architectures.
Collaboration & Documentation
Work collaboratively in Agile teams, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Contribute to technical documentation including design documents, current/future state diagrams, and user guides.
Communicate progress and issues clearly to teammates and project managers.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 2+ years of professional software development experience.
Data Warehousing: Solid understanding of data warehousing and ETL/ELT patterns.
Azure: Experience with Microsoft Azure, including ADLS Gen2, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Self-hosted Integration Runtime.
Languages: Strong foundational skills in SQL and Java.
Networking: Familiarity with Azure networking including VNET, private endpoints, and firewalls.
Architecture: Knowledge of medallion architecture principles.
DevOps: Proficiency with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines (YAML), build/release automation, repo management, branching strategies, and code reviews.
Education: Bachelor& degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Azure networking and advanced security configurations.
Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices in cloud-native environments.
Exposure to AI/ML integration within enterprise data pipelines.
Azure certifications or formal training in cloud development.
Public sector or federal consulting experience is a plus.
