Position :: Full Stack Engineer
The Role
You will own feature delivery end-to-end within your product domain - writing production-quality React code, contributing to architectural decisions, and ensuring MFE applications are performant, maintainable, and secure. This is a heads-down senior individual-contributor role (NOT a team lead or architect), with significant cross-team coordination expected.
Responsibilities
Delivery
Build and maintain React-based micro-frontend applications across cart, checkout, order management, and payment flows
Independently break down complex, ambiguous requirements into well-scoped engineering tasks
Implement responsive, accessible UI components aligned with design-system standards
Integrate with RESTful APIs and backend services to deliver complete end-to-end features
Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to maintain high code quality and coverage
Participate in code reviews, giving and receiving constructive technical feedback
Technical Contribution
Own micro-frontend architecture decisions - module federation, shared dependencies, and deployment boundaries
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in rendering, state management, and data fetching
Apply security best practices (XSS/CSRF prevention, secure payment-data handling) across all frontend work
Support CI/CD pipelines and help maintain build tooling
Collaboration & Growth
Work within an agile team (sprint planning, standups, reviews, retrospectives)
Partner with backend and platform engineers to design clean API contracts
Unblock teammates through technical guidance and knowledge sharing; communicate tradeoffs clearly
Mentor junior/mid-level developers; stay current with the React ecosystem and advocate adoption where appropriate
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
5+ years in web application development, with at least 3 years focused on React and modern JavaScript frameworks
Proven experience owning features end-to-end in a micro-frontend architecture with minimal guidance
Proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3/SCSS
Experience consuming RESTful APIs and integrating frontend applications with backend services
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices; strong communication and collaboration
Desired Skills
React.js: strong command of hooks, context API, component lifecycle, and performance-optimization patterns
Micro-Frontend Architecture: proven experience owning/evolving module federation (Webpack 5) and MFE composition patterns
State Management: Redux, Zustand, or similar; sound judgment on global vs. local state, including multi-step transactional flows
Testing: Jest and React Testing Library; Cypress or Playwright for E2E
Build Tools: Webpack, Rollup, or Vite; strong Git workflow (branching, pull requests)
Cloud/Hosting: AWS (strongly preferred) or Azure for frontend hosting, CDN, and deployment
Performance: Core Web Vitals, lazy loading, code splitting, bundle optimization
Security: OWASP frontend vulnerabilities, XSS/CSRF mitigation, secure data handling
Agile: comfortable in Scrum or Kanban with a bias toward shipping and iterating

FRONT-END-HEAVY senior IC. Manager wants someone "heads down" on coding - NOT a team lead or architect. Must still coordinate across teams, build consensus, and show technical leadership when needed.
Must-have stack: React (React only - not React Native), AWS, and Node.js, with strong Module Federation, MFE, and BFF (Backend-for-Frontend) experience. Must navigate the AWS console with ease and deploy applications in AWS.
Module Federation: at least 2 3 years is the baseline the manager wants (he is not requiring 8 10 years; equivalent adjacent frontend-architecture experience can be considered on top of that baseline).
Migration context: the client is migrating off Hybris (Storefront e-commerce framework) to an independent MFE-based storefront; Hybris will become a service layer. There are also integration-layer migrations underway (not MFEs). ~80% of systems are undergoing direct or indirect change - the environment will NOT be stable for the next 6 7 months. Candidate must navigate ambiguity comfortably.
Domain: current portfolio is cart and payments, but the manager is not restricting to those areas - candidate should be willing to work across the commerce site as needed. B2B business (not B2C).
Design systems: the client uses defined "foundation" practices and a design system across all MFEs; candidate should work within existing processes while suggesting improvements (changes go through foundation meetings).
No candidate is considered "overqualified" for this role at this time.
Start timing: brand-new position (not a critical backfill) - can move at its own pace. That said, the manager will start interviews as soon as he likes a resume, so speed on quality submittals matters.
Interview Process
Typically a minimum of 2 rounds, with a possible 3rd depending on how it goes.
Round 1: primarily technical, with existing staff/principal engineers.
Later round: managerial.
No mandatory coding test, but individual interviewers (staff/principal) may choose to ask technical/coding questions - no guaranteed yes/no on a formal test.
