Role: Java Full stack Developer (NoSQl and Solr exp)
Location: Omaha, NE (Onsite - 5 days a week)
We’re looking for a Java Full Stack Developer who brings strong backend engineering depth along with modern front-end development experience to build scalable, enterprise-grade digital solutions. In this role, you will develop and maintain applications using Java 8, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Angular, Kafka, and distributed data technologies such as Cassandra or MongoDB, while helping design performant integrations, search capabilities, and data processing workflows across complex ecosystems.
Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using Java 8, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs
Design, build, and support full stack solutions with strong backend services and responsive front-end interfaces using Angular 8 or above
Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product teams, and fellow engineers to deliver intuitive, user-centered application experiences
Build and integrate scalable messaging and event-driven solutions using Kafka, JMS, and related integration frameworks
Work with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or MongoDB to model, store, and retrieve large-scale data efficiently
Design and optimize queries for Oracle, SQL, and NoSQL data stores based on application and performance requirements
Implement and support enterprise search solutions using Solr and/or OpenSearch
Contribute to large-scale data engineering and processing use cases leveraging Apache Spark
Create reusable, secure, and high-performing APIs and services for internal and external system integrations
Troubleshoot application, integration, and performance issues across distributed systems and environments
Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives to elevate engineering quality
Support best practices in software development, including clean code, testing, documentation, and version control
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Proven experience as a Java Full Stack Developer in enterprise application environments
Strong hands-on experience with Java 8, Spring Boot, and REST API development
Experience building front-end applications using Angular 8 or above
Solid experience with messaging and integration technologies such as Kafka, JMS, and related event-driven patterns
Hands-on experience with Cassandra or MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
Experience working with Solr and/or OpenSearch for indexing, search, and retrieval use cases
Working knowledge of Apache Spark for distributed data processing and analytics workflows
Experience designing and optimizing queries for Oracle, SQL, and NoSQL databases
Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and enterprise integration patterns
Familiarity with application performance tuning, debugging, and troubleshooting in production-grade systems
Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams
Experience with Agile delivery methods and modern software development lifecycle practices preferred
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and automated testing practices is a plus
The base salary for this position is $92,250 to $101,500 plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies. Benefits available to eligible employees in this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, comprehensive employee assistance program, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off and holidays and paid learning days.
