Senior Full Stack Developer

This is a Hybrid role, offering the flexibility to balance your professional and personal life, with 2 days a week spent connecting with colleagues in our Glasgow office.

The Role

As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you’ll be a technical pillar within your squad, focusing on the design and delivery of end-to-end features and subsystems. We believe that great software is built through collaboration and high craft standards.

In this role, you won't just write code; you will help shape our technical direction, mentor aspiring developers, and ensure our solutions are modular, inclusive, and scalable. If you enjoy solving puzzles and empowering others to grow, you’ll fit right into the team!

Key aspects of the role include:

• Technical Excellence: Designing and delivering end-to-end features while optimising for performance, accessibility, and responsiveness.

• Collaborative Leadership: Leading specific workstreams and mentoring junior colleagues in both technical craft and professional processes.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Translating complex technical trade-offs into plain language and confidently presenting demos to help shape tactical direction for our clients.

• Community Building: Contributing to our Community of Practice and representing Waracle’s culture in recruitment and interview panels.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who values technical mastery and people development in equal measure. You might be the right fit if you have:

• Significant experience delivering complex digital products with deep expertise in .NET and C#, building scalable, secure, and maintainable backend solutions.

• Strong experience designing and developing cloud-based applications using Azure, with an understanding of modern architecture patterns and best practices.

• Comfortable working across the full stack, with experience in React and modern frontend development to support the delivery of seamless user experiences.

• A thoughtful approach to designing scalable architectures and implementing robust testing strategies across unit, integration, and UI testing.

• Strong understanding of SOLID principles, clean code practices, maintainability, and security standards.

• A collaborative and supportive mentoring style, providing constructive feedback through peer reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance.

• Experience with technologies and patterns such as Azure services, Durable Functions, Event Sourcing, and SQL would be advantageous.
