The work.
Maintain the application.
Investigate issues and support requests.
Design, build and release new features.
Answer questions and provide technical support to the sales and training teams.
Mentor and support junior programmers in the team.
The roadmap.
First month - get to know the application and meet the team. Learn our processes and understand how we work from end to end. Work as part of our thriving team on a few small projects.
3 months - start working on performance improvements / bug fixes, as well as smaller tasks.
6 – 12 months - we would expect you to be able to take ownership of a project from UI design, database schema, development, testing and implementation.
Your experience.
Must have industry experience and demonstrable skills with multiple projects under your belt.
Must have excellent communication skills and ability to understand and explain complicated subjects to others.
Must have strong attention to detail.
Nice to have CS degree or other qualifications however industry experience is considered instead.
The tech stack.
API; Laravel, Postgres, Redis, Postmark & AWS.
Frontend; ExtJS, CSS, JavaScript, NPM & Node.
Admin; NextJS & Tailwind.
Other Tools; Git, Docker, CircleCI, Cypress, PhpStorm, TablePlus, GitHub Desktop, Balsamiq, Figma, Slack & Zoom.
The team.
A supportive team of 7, 5 of whom work predominantly out of our O’Connor office.
In the office you will be reporting to our lead developer Michael and working alongside Dat, another Jobman developer.
As the system grows we plan to take on more developers to support the team.
Overall direction is provided by our Director of Operations and Technology (Ben) who works remotely.

This is a full-time role, 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday working with a fantastic team who work in a nice, modern office located in O’Connor.
We all work from home on a Wednesday to facilitate a healthy work/life balance, we pride ourselves on our positive & supportive work culture, we keep meetings to a minimum and most importantly, we treat our staff well as we know they are our biggest asset. We regularly share coffee and cakes for morning teas on birthdays and head out for a nice lunch on work anniversaries.
