About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Full Stack Developer / Systems Engineer Senior (L2) to support a mission-focused technology environment at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. This role is highly specialized in software systems development, systems integration, and related engineering activities, and requires the ability to work independently under general direction while providing technical assistance and advice on complex assignments.
The successful candidate will support full stack development across .NET and JavaScript applications, cloud development and CI/CD pipelines, code repositories, databases, SharePoint, and ServiceNow (SNOW). The role requires strong customer interaction, comprehensive documentation, and the ability to analyze requirements, define technical solutions, and recommend system improvements. Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI clearance and maintain DoD 8140 compliance for IAT Level II.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in full stack development of .NET applications.
- Assist in full stack development of JavaScript applications.
- Support SharePoint development as necessary.
- Support ServiceNow (SNOW) development as necessary.
- Assist in cloud development cycles and CI/CD pipelines.
- Audit and maintain source code repositories and associated development artifacts.
- Interact directly with customers during requirements collection, design, and development cycles.
- Maintain database health and connections to cloud applications.
- Generate artifacts and deliverables for completed engineering and development efforts.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation within code repositories and Confluence.
- Attend meetings, working sessions, and customer touchpoints to foster innovation and maintain alignment with customer requests.
- Formulate and define technical specifications; develop, modify, and maintain complex systems and subsystems using vendor engineering releases and utilities.
- Apply analytical techniques to gather user information, define work problems, design technology solutions, and develop procedures to resolve identified issues.
- Analyze approaches, review task requirements, gather and analyze data, compare alternatives, resolve processing problems, coordinate with programmers and engineers, and prepare recommendations for system improvement.
- Orient and support users as new systems and capabilities are introduced.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Must maintain DoD 8140 compliance for IAT Level II.
- Experience supporting full stack development of .NET applications.
- Experience supporting full stack development of JavaScript applications.
- Experience with cloud development cycles and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience maintaining and auditing code repositories.
- Experience interacting with customers to collect requirements and support development cycles.
- Experience maintaining database health and application/database connectivity.
- Ability to develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and engineering artifacts.
- Ability to work independently under general direction and exercise considerable judgment in selecting technical approaches and methods.
- Ability to analyze complex technical requirements, formulate specifications, compare alternatives, and provide recommendations for system improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SharePoint development and support.
- Experience with ServiceNow (SNOW) development and support.
- Experience documenting development activities in Confluence and source code repositories.
- Experience supporting Federal Government, Department of Defense, or Intelligence Community environments.
- Experience with systems integration, cloud-connected applications, DevSecOps practices, and automated deployment workflows.
Certification / Compliance Requirements
Candidates must maintain DoD 8140 compliance for IAT Level II. Applicable qualifying certifications must be current and should be provided as part of the candidate submission package.
