Senior full stack engineer (golang python) - cape town / 100% remote - r1000k pa
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a dynamic Johannesburg-based team. This permanent role is perfect for someone passionate about Go Lang, Angular, Python, and mentoring others while building production-ready solutions. What We're Looking For: 5+ years of professional software development experience Strong proficiency in Go Lang , building production services and understanding concurrency patterns Solid experience with Angular and Python (Flask, SQLAlchemy, or Django) Experience with Docker , Kubernetes , and modern CI/CD workflows Familiarity with SQL databases (Postgre SQL preferred) and query optimization Strong understanding of RESTful API design and service communication patterns Proficiency in Git , feature branching, pull requests, and code reviews Highly Desirable: Experience with Kafka , CDC, or event streaming platforms Familiarity with Click House or other columnar/OLAP databases Experience migrating monoliths to microservices Background in high-throughput, data-intensive systems Experience in regulated industries with strict ACID/data accuracy requirements Beyond Technical Skills: Takes ownership from concept to production Thinks strategically and contributes to product and codebase improvements Values quality and long-term maintainability Mentors and develops other engineers naturally Adapts to complex, ambiguous challenges Communicates technical trade-offs clearly to both engineers and business stakeholders Position Details Reference: GZ61000 Location: Cape Town / Somerest West / Hybrid Type: Permanent Salary: R900k pa negotiable (based on experience and ability) How to Apply
