Full stack Software Engineer – Online Agent – Amsterdam

We're looking for a talented Full-Stack Software Engineer to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity to work across both backend and frontend technologies, contributing to the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software products used at scale.
As a Software Engineer, you'll own technical delivery from concept to production, collaborating with product managers, QA engineers, and fellow developers to deliver impactful features. You'll work across the stack using Java and React, helping shape technical solutions while maintaining a strong focus on quality, scalability, and customer value.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services using Java and modern frameworks such as Spring.
- Build intuitive and responsive user experiences using React.
- Own features end-to-end, from design through deployment and production support.
- Participate in architecture and system design discussions, contributing to technical decisions and solution design.
- Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following engineering best practices.
- Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and QA teams to plan and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Monitor and improve application performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate progress, risks, blockers, and technical trade-offs effectively.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining engineering excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience developing backend services in Java (Spring Boot or similar frameworks)
- Strong experience building modern web applications using React.
- Proven full-stack development experience with the ability to deliver features across frontend and backend layers.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and testing practices.
- Experience with Git, code review workflows, debugging, and CI/CD practices.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to estimate work, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality solutions independently.
Nice to Have
- Experience working within large-scale or enterprise environments.
- Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized applications.
- Familiarity with modern observability and monitoring practices.
- Mentoring or coaching experience.
- Experience supporting production services and resolving technical incidents.
